ArtZone Sun Peaks, Sun Peaks Resort LLP and Tourism Sun Peaks are collaborating with this Call for Artists. Open call for local artists (Sun Peaks and surrounding areas), of all ages.

Prize: $1500 for each successful artist chosen.

Criteria

• Please use the form below for your submission and add the URL of the shared Google Folder to the form. Label your photo as: “name_title_size” (example: BSmith_tod.at.night_16x24)Submissions open March 4th.

• Submissions deadline April 14th.

• Artwork Theme: ‘Essence of Sun Peaks, what Sun Peaks means to you’.

• Artwork dimensions - artwork must fit within the specified template dimensions, refer to Valley Trail Banner Templates below.

• Artwork may be resized to fit, therefore may not include the entire original piece. Please include artist name/artwork name on the artwork.

• Submissions can be for 1 banner, or span 2 banners side by side. Specify upon submission.

• Submissions must be in digital form (high-resolution - at least 300 pixels per inch)

Selection

• Resort team will pick the successful piece(s) and produce mock-ups for artist(s) approval. More than one artist may be selected

• Resort logo will be added to the banners.

• Should both parties be interested (the artist(s) and the resort), the Resort will work with Alpine Images to produce a run of posters and share commissions.

Ownership

• The Resort will have ownership of the digital image and reproduction rights for a period of 3 - 5 years after selection, with any reproductions being mutually agreed upon between the artist(s) and the Resort.

• Separately, should the Resort wish to purchase the original(s), this would be an additional amount agreed upon with the artist(s), the Resort would have first right of refusal to purchase the original piece(s) for a period of 1 month after the submission deadline, after which point the artist(s) are free to sell the original(s), but not reproduce without the Resort’s involvement for the first 3 years.
